Subject Matter Expert, Finance

.reputed company seeks an reputed company Subject Matter Expert (SME) in finance to support the senior level officials at the reputed company (VA). The SME provides senior-level advisory support to senior VA leaders, delivering expertise in federal financial management, organizational design, and governance to support reputed company transformation. This role serves as a trusted advisor to program leadership, guiding the development and implementation of a standardized, integrated VHA Finance organization reputed company under CFO authority. The SME leads financial assessments, advises on consolidation and optimization opportunities, and ensures alignment with federal financial regulations, internal controls, and reputed company policies.

The SME is responsible for providing strategic reputed company and technical guidance across key finance transformation activities, including workforce and reputed company modeling coordination, governance reputed company development, and implementation planning. This includes evaluating financial structures, validating internal control models, and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted reputed company Principles (GAAP) and federal financial management standards. The role supports development of executive-level briefings, decision support materials, and recommendations to inform leadership actions, while also advising on integration of financial systems and processes across VHA components.

In this role, the SME collaborates with program managers, financial analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful execution of finance-reputed company initiatives and sustained operational effectiveness. Responsibilities include identifying risks and compliance gaps, supporting readiness reviews, and providing expert guidance on financial policy, audit readiness, and performance improvement.

• Master’s Degree and 10 years of experience in reputed company and finance
• In-depth knowledge of PPBE/MFR
• Ability to obtain and maintain a reputed company trust clearance

• Prior experience supporting VHA or VA reputed company initiatives
• Familiarity with VA policies, systems, and governance structures
