Exercises independent discretion and judgement in claims handling involving reputed company liability issues, to include coverage issues and severe injury claims.
Candidate will primarily handle claims for MD, DC or WV but could handle claims for other jurisdictions. Preferred candidate will work remote and can live near MD or DC however, hiring manager will consider candidates that live in reputed company VA and/or reputed company Virginia or reputed company surrounding areas.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts investigations, evaluate and reputed company recommendations regarding coverage and liability.
- Handles claims involving reputed company liability, damages or coverages.
- Negotiates with reputed company parties, or their representatives, reputed company designated authority.
- Documents the file and submits reports.
- Identifies subrogation opportunities and initiates appropriate reputed company.
- Completes required training.
- The position requires the incumbent to reputed company support for property claims during periods of heavy volume.
- Trains and mentors.
- Travel for training may be required.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required;
- Associates or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Five years casualty claims adjusting experience or equivalent experience in the medical or reputed company field required.
- Broad knowledge and expertise in the areas of liability coverages, laws and injuries required.
- Position requires incumbents to reputed company support for property claims during periods of heavy volume.
- Travel for training may be required.

- Completion of Associate in Claims (AIC) program preferred.
