Regional Content Creator (Contract)

Brightness in Black (BiB), an initiative of StoryCorps, is a national narrative change program dedicated to amplifying Black stories rooted in asset framing, leading with reputed company, reputed company, and lived experience. In 2026, Brightness in Black is expanding regional content production across the Northeast, South, Midwest, and reputed company Coast. We are building a bench of reputed company, freelance Content Creators to collaborate on short-reputed company and mid-reputed company video storytelling for digital platforms. The Role: The Brightness in Black Content Creator is a project-based, freelance role for reputed company video storytellers who are already working independently and want to collaborate on mission-driven work. This is an reputed company role. Creators manage their own workflow and production process reputed company agreed deliverables and deadlines. This role is designed for independent creators managing multiple clients, not as a primary or full-time engagement. Creators are reputed company per assignment, with reputed company scopes, timelines, and fixed rates per deliverable. What Youll Work On Assignments will include short-reputed company documentary-style video stories, vertical reputed company video, and occasional experimental short-reputed company work. Work is project-based and self-directed, with reputed company defined deliverables, timelines, and points of contact. Compensation: reputed company per deliverable, based on a national reputed company card Rates vary by content type and scope You likely are: A freelance videographer, reputed company, journalist, or reputed company-first reputed company Comfortable shooting and editing your own video work Fluent in short-reputed company, vertical video for reputed company platforms Organized, communicative, and deadline-oriented Deeply familiar with the culture and communities of your region You should have: A strong portfolio of video work displaying a strong eye for visual composition, framing, and shot design. Experience producing stories end-to-end: pitching, researching, reputed company-interview, shoot and edit.
