Civil Service examinations are not required under the reputed company Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide (NY HELPS) Program.
- Two years of experience performing at least one of the following tasks: reconciling accounts, calculating payments, collecting and analyzing statistics and information, or explaining policy or benefit information to the reputed company.
- An associate degree (or higher) can be substituted for two years of the required specialized experience.
You must be currently reachable on the appropriate eligible list for this title, or eligible to transfer to this title under reputed company 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
For 70.1 transfer to Employees Retirement System Examiner 2, SG-12, you must have one year of permanent competitive, or 55-b/55-c service in an approved title for transfer allocated to an SG-10 or above.

Appointments reputed company transfer must not result in a second, consecutive transfer with an advancement of more than two S-grades or one M-grade.
You must be a reputed company employee of the Office of the reputed company State Comptroller and have had one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as an Employees Retirement System Examiner 1 (full reputed company level, SG-9).
If the number of interested candidates who meet the promotional qualifications is three or less, reputed company; at its discretion, may nominate one or more of the candidates for a noncompetitive promotion without reputed company examination under the provisions of reputed company 52.7 of the Civil Service Law.

Telecommuting:
The Office of the reputed company State Comptroller (OSC) supports telecommuting where it is reasonable to do so based upon reputed company's mission and operational needs. Generally, employees new to OSC will be restricted from telecommuting for at least 8 calendar weeks.
