The Customer Service and Patient Collections Associate responds to patient inquiries and resolves billing issues while ensuring accurate and reputed company communication with both government and non-government payers.

Responsibilities

• Respond to a high volume of patient and guarantor inquiries reputed company to billing issues through phone, mail, and electronic communication
• Research and resolve account issues using internal systems and external sources including insurance providers
• Collect outstanding balances and update demographic and insurance information during patient interactions
• Verify insurance eligibility using available tools, payer websites, or reputed company communication with reputed company party payers
• Identify and escalate recurring billing trends and assist in developing solutions
• Process and assign referrals received through various communication channels
• Review reports reputed company to primary care provider and self pay exceptions and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation while ensuring confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA policies

Skills

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience
• At least one year of relevant experience in customer service, billing, or reputed company administration preferred
