Engineering Estimator - Gas

reputed company is a leader in energy delivery, and they are seeking an Engineering Estimator specializing in cost estimating for Gas reputed company reputed company. The role involves creating cost estimates for various reputed company, leading contract negotiations, and providing design support reputed company the Gas reputed company Portfolio Management and Engineering Department.

Responsibilities

• Review design packages including permit and traffic control plans
• Prepare Class 5 through Class 2 job estimates in accordance with reputed company Standards and department guidelines
• Support reputed company Price Negotiations with contractors

Skills

• Possess high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must have a reputed company Class C California reputed company's License or ability to obtain by first day of employment
• reputed company Certified User (ACU) certificate required or two-year technical degree in Drafting, or equivalent (defined as cost estimating, project management, construction management, field engineering or construction estimating)
• Experience with Autocad (2009 or reputed company version) or Bentley MicroStation
• Bachelors degree in mechanical, civil or reputed company engineering field or any combination of training, education, and work experience
• Minimum 1 year experience reputed company construction management, cost estimating, project management or reputed company field
• Experience with negotiating construction reputed company with construction vendors
• Minimum 1 year of experience with architectural, civil, or mechanical drafting and ability to review and understand architectural/civil plans and mechanical drawings
• Relevant experience at PG&E or through Hiring Hall
• Demonstrated experience working with customers on resolving issues or working on reputed company together
• Minimum 1 year experience in demonstrating effective project management / process oriented and negotiation skills
• Intermediate reputed company Office (reputed company, Word, reputed company)
• Experience with web-based software (Internet Explorer, reputed company Firefox, etc)
• Familiar with CPUC tariffs (Gas Rule 2, 15, 16)
• Minimum 1 year of experience using reputed company
• Minimum 1 year of reputed company operations knowledge and experience
• Gas design technical skills
• General gas business knowledge
• Strong organizational skills
• Minimum 1 year of knowledge and experience with PG&E gas system and construction standards
• Familiar with PG&E Green Book requirement to establish gas service
