Graphic Designer / Illustrator

Spin Master is a leading global children's toy, entertainment and digital gaming company. The Graphic Designer / Illustrator will create engaging and educational content for a variety of children's products, collaborating with the design team to ensure designs align with brand guidelines and current trends.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design engaging and educational content for a wide range of children's products, including toys, puzzles, activity books, and pretend play sets
• Layout designs quickly to present to and get approval from the management team
• Create original illustrations in a variety of styles that are consistent with the Melissa Doug brand
• Collaborate with the Design Director and other team members from concept to final production
• Prepare and deliver accurate design files and specifications for manufacturing, considering cost and ergonomic factors
• Create rough drafts and mock-ups to effectively communicate design ideas and concepts
• Ensure that all designs align with our brand guidelines and maintain a consistent look and feel across all products
• Stay current with design trends and bring innovative ideas to the team

Skills

• Experience in graphic design or illustration, preferably in the children's product or toy industry
• Superb layout and design skills, with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Excellent drawing and illustration skills, with the ability to work in various styles
• Proficiency in vector-based illustrations and understanding of printing processes
• A solid understanding of design principles, including typography, color theory, and layout
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
• The ability to execute under tight deadlines is a key
• A strong portfolio showcasing your design and illustration skills
