Our trauma-informed approach emphasizes understanding, recognizing, and responding to those affected by trauma to strengthen resilience for our clients, staff, and community. **Job Summary** As a 988 Chat/Text Crisis Specialist, Mid Shift, you will be responsible for providing telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments to individuals experiencing emotional distress. You will also answer crisis contacts via our chat/text platform, assess for suicide, safety, and identify appropriate community resources to best meet individual needs. This role requires a strong understanding of crisis intervention, service linkage, and referrals for programs, services, and other community resources. **Key Responsibilities** * Provides telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments to individuals experiencing emotional distress * Answers crisis contacts via our chat/text platform to assess for suicide, safety, and identify appropriate community resources * Conducts follow-up calls for individuals who are deemed moderate to high risk for suicide * Meets the ethical and clinical standards in compliance with all accreditation * Actively participates in ongoing supervision, training, and team meetings * Assists in administrative tasks as needed **Essential Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in behavioral science, psychology, social work, or a related field * Six months to one year of related crisis experience * Strong understanding of crisis intervention, service linkage, and referrals for programs, services, and other community resources * Ability to effectively communicate via written, verbal, in-person, and virtual methods * Demonstrates high-level customer service skills and professional etiquette **Preferred Qualifications** * Certified Peer Recovery Specialist * Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and trauma * Knowledge of suicide assessments and risk factors * Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Strong commitment to arenaflex's values of Respect, Expertise, Integrity, and Empowerment **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we believe in investing in our employees' growth and development.
