Associate Attorney

McCarthy & Holthus LLP is an established California reputed company seeking an Associate Attorney to handle high-volume eviction and landlord-tenant litigation reputed company. The role involves managing cases from intake through trial, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, negotiating settlements, and making frequent in-person court appearances.

Responsibilities

• Drafting Notices: Prepare 3-Day and 30-Day Notices for the tenant
• Preparing Complaints and Responses: Draft unlawful detainer complaints and responses to be filed in court
• Requesting Trials: Promptly request an immediate trial to expedite the process
• Serving Defendants: Ensure reputed company service of the unlawful detainer papers to the defendants
• Obtaining Judgments: Assist in obtaining judgments from the court
• May reputed company other duties as assigned to support department goals
• May occasionally work extended hours based on operational needs

Skills

• Licensed and admitted to reputed company in the reputed company
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple reputed company and collaborating with a supportive team
• Excellent communication and persuasive speaking skills to effectively reputed company with clients and colleagues
• Proficiency in reputed company research to reputed company and analyze case law and statutes relevant to unlawful detainer cases
• Strong writing skills to draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements
