Here at Adapting Social, we like to think of our Account Managers as our internal and external compass. We seek out candidates who are skilled in navigating Client projects on time, on budget, and on objectives. Our Account Manager will primarily be responsible for the growth and management of client relationships and their internal team aka ‘Pod’. As the point of contact for our clients, the Account Manager also helps drive strategic marketing plans and exceeds clients’ expectations with excellent creative work. At Adapting Social, our Account Manager’s steady leadership ensures the smooth production of campaigns, from briefing PPC experts, designers, and copywriters, to managing budgets and directing a strong, dedicated account and project management team.

As an Account Manager, you’ll work with clients to understand their business and marketing needs, help develop the right strategies and execute plans to achieve client goals. You must have the vision to seek out and identify business opportunities. This talented and energetic individual will have a positive attitude and offer experience in leading client initiatives and building strategic relationships.

We’re seeking an experienced self-starter with eight to ten years of client service experience, with at least five years of direct experience in advertising client service and managing projects within an agency. The ideal candidate should be proactive in nature and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in executing both traditional communications as well as digital media strategies via web promotion, interactive video, search engine marketing, social media platforms, and blogs is a must. Experience in managing and leading internal teams and clients to deliver successful projects is a must. The successful candidate will be well-organized, detail-oriented, and efficient at managing client budgets.

The Account Manager is responsible for shaping the “story” of each client meeting. They must speak holistically about advertising, both internally and externally, including brand story, industry perception, consumer strategy, creative directions, and insights that will drive all parts of the strategy.

The Account Manager oversees and manages a team that consists of Web Designers, Graphic Designers, SEO Specialists, Creative Coordinators (Social and Email), PPC Experts, and Marketers.


Account Manager Roles and Responsibilities:

STRATEGY & PLANNING

  • Onboard new clients as they enter the agency
  • Oversee the overall strategy, planning, coordination, execution, and analysis of a clients advertising and marketing campaign
  • Ensure the smooth production of campaigns, from leading the strategy to briefing designers and copywriters to managing budgets and directing a strong, dedicated account and project management team, as well as, observing and communicating results regularly with the team and client.
  • Create insightful objectives and conversion-based strategy to direct the internal team based on research and data from the PPC Expert in your Pod
  • Research, strategize, and build a cross-channel marketing strategy (DSG) with the help of your internal team.
  • Utilize your skills and experience to push clients, and the agency creatively and strategically
  • Create monthly reporting for clients and lead a standing monthly meeting to showcase value and ROI with your clients which will be recorded and logged.


PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Create and lead a specific agenda for each client meeting and must speak holistically about advertising, both internally and externally, including brand story, industry perception, consumer strategy, creative directions, and insights that will drive all parts of the campaign.
  • Oversee the project briefing process and works with account managers and creative project associates on the execution of all deliverables
  • Act as the client’s point of contact and leads overall communication between the client, and all internal teams within their pod.
  • Primarily responsible for the growth and management of client relationships through day-to-day communication.
  • Work with clients to understand their business and marketing goals vs. needs, help develop the right strategies and execute plans to achieve and surpass the client’s expected results


LEADERSHIP

  • Lead the team that provides the utmost level of client service
  • Responsible for your team's education and growth within your pod. Training and education courses will be required quarterly.
  • Promote the expansion of business with existing clients through upsell and referral opportunities.
