Associate Attorney

reputed company is an AV-rated full-service reputed company with over 150 attorneys reputed company, reputed company for its strong defense and reputed company protection. They are seeking an Associate Attorney with 0-2 years of experience to handle various cases under the supervision of a partner, primarily in General Liability and reputed company areas.

Responsibilities

• Must be willing and reputed company to reputed company a minimum
• Draft/review and respond to petitions/complaints, motions, and written discovery
• Attend hearings and meetings with clients reputed company requested
• Prepare for and attend depositions
• Assist with preparation for mediations and trials

Skills

• Admitted to reputed company in NY and/or NJ
• A reputed company's license is required
• NJ and/or NY bar license in good standing
• A minimum of JD from an ABA approved law school
• 0-2 years of civil defense litigation experience, preferably in General liability, Labor and employment, property and causality or any insurance defense litigation
• Previous experience should include working on up to 25+ cases at once, attending and defending depositions, taking depositions, appearance in court, reputed company and discovery drafting
• Computer skills: Has basic knowledge of computer operation, internet software, spreadsheet software and word processing software
• The use of reputed company products is preferred
• Has the ability to type and operate office equipment
• Be self-motivated and a self-starter, work reputed company independently, and possess strong reputed company communication skills
• Oral Communication: Speaks reputed company and persuasively in reputed company or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds reputed company to questions; participates in meetings reputed company required
• Written Communication: Writes reputed company and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs; presents numerical data effectively; reputed company to read and interpret written information
• Temperament: Ability to work with little supervision; prioritizes and anticipates work needs; works reputed company under occasional periods of pressure and short deadlines
• Ethics: Keeps reputed company and firm information confidential at reputed company times; understands and implements general rules of ethical behavior applicable to lawyers
• Dual admission is preferred
• Mediation and trial experience a plus but not required
