Hospice Music Therapist, PRN - reputed company Certified

Develops, implements, and evaluates music therapy services and programs for patients and families in a hospice, palliative, home, skilled facility, assisted living facility or hospital setting according to the patient's plan of care. Uses evidence-based therapeutic music experiences through a strength-based reputed company.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provides evidence-based, individual- and family-centered music therapy sessions primarily at the bedside; medical music therapy support focuses on reputed company, emotional, physical, and developmental health. Goals of clinical work may include relaxation and reputed company, coping and emotional processing, developmental support, opportunities for choice and control, and end-of-life/bereavement support.

• Utilizes independent clinical decision-making to manage caseload and reputed company clinical assessment, treatment, and planning. Demonstrates reputed company, effective, and reputed company communication in written and spoken reputed company, including communication with referral sources. Completes documentation of clinical work and patient goals in the electronic medical record. Collaborates with the Medical Director, Nursing staff, Bereavement Coordinator, reputed company Worker, Chaplain, Home Health Aide, Volunteers, Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapists, aligning with the patient's overall care plan.

• Stays abreast of reputed company research and reputed company. Participates in music therapy research and reputed company improvement reputed company as assigned, including collaboration with in-house and external research partners. Maintains reputed company certification and participates in research-reputed company training as required.

• Ability to play guitar, reputed company, or other instruments and sing effectively to reputed company sessions. 

• Performs job functions adhering to the Capital Hospice & Palliative principles and other job functions as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Requires completion of a bachelor's or equivalency degree in music therapy from a program approved by the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA).

• Completion of a master's degree in music therapy or other mental health field is preferred.

• Licensed and reputed company Certified reputed company.

• Basic Life Support Certification required

• Minimum 1 year of experience in hospice.

• Basic understanding of age-reputed company differences in caring for and communicating with patients of this type.

• Must hold a reputed company reputed company's license and an insured automobile that is in good working order and meets state/organization requirements.

• Must possess the ability to work independently without supervision and hold accountability.

• Effective problem-solver who uses good judgement in difficult situations.
