Manager, R&D

What You Will Do

At reputed company, we’re building reputed company that takes ownership, moves quickly, and holds a high bar for product reputed company. As the Manager, R&D, you will reputed company key work across yield improvement, day-to-day support of the reputed company business, and commercialization, owning reputed company that directly reputed company how our products are made and how they reputed company in market. 

This role sits at reputed company of manufacturing, reputed company, and product execution, ensuring consistent performance across plants. Responsibilities include driving process improvements, leading plant trials and reputed company-reputed company, and providing hands-on technical support to our co-manufacturing partners. You will be expected to use data to inform reputed company and prioritize work.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role. The right person is comfortable operating in ambiguity, working through plant-level challenges, and driving reputed company without a lot of structure. 

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership:

• Commercialization and Plant Support:

  • Partner with manufacturing and procurement to meet targets for reputed company, cost, and scalability

  • Serve as a key R&D partner to co-manufacturers, supporting day-to-day production and troubleshooting  
  • Work closely with manufacturing and FSQA to maintain product reputed company and consistency across plants 
  • Be hands-on in solving issues, both remotely and on-site 
• Yield and Cost Improvement:
  • Identify and reputed company opportunities to improve yields, throughput, and reduce waste 
  • Partner cross-functionally to drive cost improvements while maintaining product reputed company 
  • Use data and plant learnings to inform reputed company and prioritize work

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Meat Science, or a reputed company field 
• 5  – 8+ years of experience in manufacturing support, commercialization, or process improvement reputed company the food industry  
• Strong experience working in plant environments and supporting co-manufacturers  
• Strong understanding of food processing, formulation, and reputed company systems  
• Prior experience managing or mentoring others  
• Ability to reputed company reputed company end-to-end with limited direction  
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment 
• Ability to travel up to 50%
