Position Overview

Are you a motivated student looking to gain hands-on experience in a Fortune 500 technology environment? arenaflex is seeking bright, ambitious students to join our IT Summer Student Program in the Revenue Technology and Data Analytics division. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on real projects that impact millions of customers while developing your technical and professional skills.

As an IT Summer Student at arenaflex, you'll be immersed in our technology ecosystem, working alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about mentoring the next generation of tech leaders. Key Responsibilities

Depending on your assigned team, you may be involved in various aspects of our IT operations. Here's what you can expect:

  • Software Development: Participate in the development, maintenance, enhancement, and support of software applications and infrastructure environments. You'll have the opportunity to work with modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Business Analysis: Assist in gathering requirements for system improvements and contribute to the design and testing of decision support systems. You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Data Analysis: Support the creation of performance dashboards and service level agreements using data analytics. You'll help turn raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance for IT operations and projects, gaining hands-on experience with enterprise-level systems and infrastructure.
  • Collaboration: Work as part of agile/DevOps delivery teams, participating in sprint planning, code reviews, and team meetings. You'll experience how modern software development teams operate.
  • Innovation Projects: Contribute to initiatives that leverage emerging technologies like cloud computing, mobile applications, APIs, and artificial intelligence.

Technology Stack

As an arenaflex IT Summer Student, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of technologies, including:

  • Programming Languages: Java/JEE, Python, C++ on Linux, JavaScript
  • Frameworks & Platforms: Spring, Angular, JSON, REST, XML
  • Cloud & Infrastructure: Cloud computing technologies, enterprise web applications
  • Databases: Oracle and other enterprise database systems
  • Emerging Technologies: Mobile applications, APIs, messaging systems, big data, artificial intelligence
  • Methodologies: Agile/DevOps delivery, software development lifecycle

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Academic Standing: Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Education Level: Have completed at least two years of a college program, with graduation anticipated
  • Field of Study: Degree emphasis in Computer Science, Software Development, Systems/Industrial/Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Data Analysis/Operations Research, Cybersecurity, Business Management, or a related field
  • Skills: Strong analytical, leadership, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Attributes: Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles. We value different perspectives and believe they make us stronger
  • Safety Focus: Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data
  • Problem-Solving: Have a genuine interest in tackling complex problems and are willing to invest the time needed to overcome obstacles and learn from mistakes

  • Data Proficiency: Ability to process large amounts of data and information and briefly explain what can be learned from the data and how it can support decision-making
  • Leadership Development: Desire to learn leadership techniques and best practices in problem-solving and conflict resolution to enable innovation and progress on challenging issues
  • Technology Passion: Have a passion for working with cloud computing and technologies such as mobile applications, enterprise web applications, APIs, messaging, databases, big data, or artificial intelligence
  • Initiative: Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion

Work Environment & Location

As an IT Summer Student at arenaflex, you may be assigned to work in our technology hubs located in Atlanta, GA or Minneapolis St. Paul, MN. These locations offer state-of-the-art facilities and collaborative workspaces designed to foster innovation and teamwork.

Compensation & Benefits
