About the arenaflex Cloud Engineer Experience Team

The arenaflex Cloud Engineer Experience team exists to make cloud developers successful. We understand that developers need clear, accurate, and trustworthy documentation to build amazing applications and solutions. Our team is responsible for defining and driving initiatives that improve the quality of all arenaflex Cloud technical content, while providing editorial oversight for research and cloud architecture content.

As a Technical Editor, you will work alongside a collaborative team of editors who are dedicated to defining quality standards, managing content freshness, scaling editorial capabilities, and providing alteration support across the organization. You will partner with content creators, developers, and cross-functional teams to ensure that every piece of documentation meets our exacting standards and truly serves our users' needs.

What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Technical Editor at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the developer experience through exceptional documentation. Your responsibilities will include:

• Content Excellence: Support content creators by providing insights into appropriate format, suitable audience targeting, and best practices for language usage. You'll serve as a trusted advisor, helping writers craft documentation that resonates with developers and meets their needs.
• Client Advocacy: Advocate for our users by ensuring that all content is accurate, consistent, and reliable. You'll be the guardian of quality, making certain that our documentation genuinely addresses the challenges and questions our users face.
• Process Improvement: Improve and update templates and style guides to support efficient workflows. You'll help define and implement optimal editorial processes for various projects, ensuring scalability and consistency across all documentation.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Manage content cycles for high-priority initiatives across teams and organizations. You'll coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely delivery of documentation projects.
• Collaboration & Alignment: Work closely with editors from different teams to agree on best practices and maintain functional alignment. You'll foster a collaborative environment where knowledge sharing and continuous improvement are valued.

What We're Looking For: Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• A Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field (or comparable functional experience)
• At least 2 years of experience in technical editing, technical writing, or content management
• Experience producing or editing technical documentation for a developer audience
• Proficiency with Markdown and other markup languages used in technical documentation
• Strong understanding of documentation best practices and quality standards

Preferred Qualifications
