The Role: Senior Product Analyst Manager

Are you a data enthusiast who loves turning complex datasets into actionable insights? Do you thrive in leadership roles where you can mentor a team while still staying hands-on with analysis? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Product Analytics team as a Senior Product Analyst Manager.

In this role, you will serve as the analytical backbone for our product and engineering teams, providing quantitative support, market insights, and a strategic perspective that informs key decisions across the organization. You will act as the go-to expert for data-driven problem solving, weaving together stories from numbers that help our partners understand user behavior, identify opportunities, and make smarter choices. Your work will directly influence product development, user experience improvements, and business strategy at arenaflex.

This is a part-time position offering $17 per hour, with flexible remote work arrangements available. You'll have the opportunity to work with talented teams across the globe, tackle meaningful challenges, and see the direct impact of your insights on products used by billions of people.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Product Analyst Manager at arenaflex, your days will be filled with diverse and impactful work. Here's what you can expect:

  • Conduct Comprehensive Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis using advanced tools such as SQL, R, and Python. You'll design and execute analytical approaches that address complex business questions, combining analytical and organizational complexity into clear, sound, and meaningful recommendations.
  • Lead End-to-End Projects: Own projects from start to finish, covering every stage of the analytical lifecycle—including problem definition, metric development, data extraction and manipulation, visualization, modeling, and presentation of findings to key stakeholders.
  • Solve Uncharted Challenges: Tackle ambiguous or novel problems by leveraging existing systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You'll transform broad, abstract issues into actionable workstreams that drive results.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Oversee the integration of cross-functional and hierarchical project timelines. You'll identify opportunities for improvement, recommend enhancements, and define operational goals and objectives that align with broader organizational priorities.
  • Mentor and Lead: Provide guidance and achieve results by leading and influencing the contributions of others. You'll mentor junior analysts, foster a culture of data literacy, and help your team grow both professionally and technically.
  • Communicate Insights Effectively: Translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences. You'll present your insights to team leads, product managers, and executives with equal confidence.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong foundation in quantitative analysis and proven leadership experience. Here's what we're looking for:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physical Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field is required. Your academic foundation will provide the analytical rigor needed to excel in this role.
  • Leadership Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a team lead in a technical influential position. You should have a track record of guiding teams, driving projects forward, and mentoring others to achieve their best work.
  • Analytical Expertise: Proficiency in analytical tools and programming languages, particularly SQL, R, or Python. You should be comfortable working with large datasets and extracting meaningful insights from complex information.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to diverse audiences and translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.

Preferred Qualifications

If you have these additional skills and experiences, you'll be a perfect fit for our team:

  • Advanced Analytical Experience: At least 3 years of work experience using analysis to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding in languages like Python, R, or SQL. Experience applying analytical methods to real-world business challenges is highly valued.
  • Product Analytics Background: Prior experience in product analytics, preferably within a technology company or digital product environment. Understanding how data informs product decisions will help you hit the ground running.
  • Technical Depth: Strong grasp of statistical concepts, experimental design, and data modeling techniques. Familiarity with machine learning concepts is a plus but not required.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to connect quantitative findings to business outcomes and understand how insights drive strategic decisions.

Skills and Competencies

Beyond your qualifications, we look for candidates who embody certain key competencies:

  • Analytical Mindset: You approach problems with curiosity and rigor, always seeking to understand the "why" behind the data.
  • Problem-Solving Agility: You thrive in ambiguous situations and can structure ill-defined problems into solvable components.
  • Collaboration and Influence: You work effectively with cross-functional teams and can inspire others to act on data-driven recommendations.
  • Attention to Detail: You take pride in the accuracy and quality of your work, ensuring that insights are reliable and actionable.
  • Adaptability: You can pivot quickly as priorities change and remain productive in a fast-paced environment.
