Position Overview

We are excited to announce an opening for a Senior Supply Chain Management Operations Data Analytics Analyst on a part-time, remote basis. This position offers a unique chance to contribute to our strategic initiatives while enjoying the flexibility of working from home. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, ready to drive multiple projects in a dynamic environment as part of our SCM Operations Team.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Business Intelligence solutions that support our Supply Chain Department and other internal teams. Your expertise will be crucial in providing spend reporting, performance metrics, and actionable insights that inform decision-making across the organization. You will have the opportunity to work with large datasets, create compelling visualizations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior SCM Operations Data Analytics Analyst at arenaflex, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that include:

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze data using techniques such as data mining, data modeling, and cost-benefit analysis. Identify data and system issues that affect reporting and analytical deliverables, ensuring accuracy and reliability in all outputs.
  • Visualization Development: Design and create data visualizations using Tableau or other advanced visualization tools. Transform complex data into intuitive dashboards that drive strategic decision-making across the organization.
  • Requirements Gathering: Apply quality practices and methodologies to understand customers' needs and ensure that deliverables meet or exceed expectations. Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Process Optimization: Create and optimize processes for data analysis and reporting for both internal and external customers. Develop streamlined data blending and manipulation workflows to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency.
  • Data Extraction and Integration: Provide project-specific knowledge for data extraction, collection, integration, and analysis from multiple data sources. Ensure data integrity and consistency across all reporting platforms.
  • Reporting and Dashboard Support: Support the SCM Department and internal customers by providing reporting, analysis, dashboard development, and application development. Maintain and enhance existing reporting tools and create new solutions as needed.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members and across the Supply Chain Management department on strategic initiatives. Partner with various departments to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other job-related tasks as directed by leadership, contributing to the overall success of the team and organization.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is mandatory.
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or have current authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986. No current or future work authorization sponsorship is available.
  • Experience: Advanced-level experience with pro and specialized knowledge in analytical, data science, or data-centric environments is required.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in Data Analysis, Data Modeling, and Data Architecture. Experience with management of big data platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, or equivalent knowledge of ETL functionality.
  • Tool Expertise: Proficiency in data evaluation and visualization tools including Advanced Excel, Quickbase, SAP Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or equivalent software.
  • Modeling Skills: General experience building complex models using multiple data sets to calculate TCO, cost savings, KPIs, and other key metrics.
  • Project Leadership: Experience leading medium-scale corporate projects from initiation to completion.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

While the following skills are not mandatory, they will be considered a significant advantage:

  • Strong proficiency in data-oriented programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms and services
  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application in business analytics
  • Previous experience in the airline or transportation industry
  • Certification in project management (PMP, CSM, or equivalent)
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and collaborative development practices

  • Data Facilitation: Ability to facilitate data sharing between external customers and the Supply Chain Management team to create data structures that meet consumer requirements.
  • Multi-Source Data Collection: Ability to gather data from multiple and diverse sources while solving problems. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize work with minimal guidance and meet customer timelines while delivering high-quality work. Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language to meet the needs of the position. Ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences.

Compensation and Benefits

We recognize that our employees deserve competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits. The salary range for this position is $35.00 to $45.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

This role requires:
