Position Overview

In this strategic role, you will serve as an internal consultant and subject matter expert responsible for leading the end-to-end lifecycle of data management across multiple systems, handling varying volumes, varieties, and velocities of data. You will be instrumental in acquiring data and performing thorough data analysis to uncover patterns that support data generation, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and optimization development initiatives.

As a Senior Big Data Analyst at arenaflex, you will function as a strategic problem solver and organized collaborator who is passionate about the opportunity to partner with Network Operations, Ground Operations, and various operational workgroups throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities

As a key member of our data and analytics team, you will be responsible for driving data initiatives that directly impact our operational excellence. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Leading Complex Data Integration Projects: Architect and lead complex self-service data integration initiatives that bring together data from disparate sources, making it readily available for business customers including data scientists, analysts, and analytic users across the organization.
• Advancing Analytics Capabilities: Lead informal teams to apply advanced data integration methodologies and systems to big data sets, creating solutions that can be implemented across descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics spectrums.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Drive engagement with business leaders throughout multiple and concurrent initiatives, ensuring alignment between technical solutions and business objectives.
• Solution Communication: Drive the development and communication of solutions and options to various stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
• Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject leader for data assets and video display units, ensuring the ongoing effectiveness of data assets in use by business customers in self-service environments.
• Data Platform Development: Support the ongoing development of the arenaflex data generation center and community, contributing to our enterprise-wide data strategy.
• Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor team members on data integration methodologies and tools, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
• Additional Duties: May perform other procedural responsibilities as directed by organizational leadership.

Essential Qualifications

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Sciences, Information Technology, or similar fields of study; or equivalent professional experience in a related discipline.

Required Experience

• Expert-level experience with extensive and protracted process project knowledge in data assessment, advanced analytics, data generation, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or optimization project experience.
• Proven experience in data pipeline, data generation, and/or relevant programming.
• Experience in visualization and presentation development and delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous and complex issues through a systems thinking approach.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following skills and experiences would be highly valued:

• Experience working with Python, SQL, ETL, Alteryx, Informatica, Ab Intio, AWS Glue, AWS, AWS S3, AWS Sagemaker, and AWS Redshift.
• Broad knowledge of the aviation or airline industry.
• Familiarity with operational data systems in transportation or logistics environments.
