As a Revenue Accounting Specialist, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization. You'll be responsible for performing essential accounting functions within various specialized Revenue Accounting areas, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial operations.

What You'll Do

As a Revenue Accounting Specialist at arenaflex, your daily responsibilities will encompass a wide range of accounting and data management tasks essential to our financial operations:

• Core Accounting Functions: Perform fundamental accounting duties including reviewing accounting data, processing refund claims, executing work check requests, handling charge/debit updates, preparing journal vouchers, and managing other accounting documentation for various Revenue Accounting areas such as payments received, billings, tickets issued/utilized, and related financial transactions.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Research and resolve accounting discrepancies promptly and accurately, which may include communication with external contacts when necessary to gather information, verify details, and ensure proper accounting treatment.
• Data Entry & Management: Complete accurate and timely data entry of accounting information into our financial systems, ensuring all entries meet quality standards and are processed within established deadlines.
• Ticket & Refund Processing: Adjust and review daily passenger ticket and auxiliary refund requests, verifying documentation, validating authorization, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Month-End Closings: Distribute and store month-end closing statistical reports, maintaining organized records and supporting the overall month-end financial close process.
• Additional Responsibilities: Perform various functions and impromptu projects as assigned by the immediate supervisor or manager to support the department's and organization's achievement of goals and business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency
• Basic computer proficiency with ability to learn new software systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• College degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field, or comparable training/experience
• Previous airline or travel service accounting experience
• Experience with large-scale financial systems and ERP software
• Understanding of revenue recognition principles in the transportation industry
• Prior experience in a high-volume data processing environment
