Job Summary

As an Information Specialist at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in building core components and features of our card exchange frameworks on a distributed platform. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you'll be responsible for designing and developing distributed data processing and scientific frameworks, working closely with designers and engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and develop distributed data processing and scientific frameworks, focusing on performant code and scalable architecture * Collaborate with designers and engineers to build and code features, participating in code reviews and other SDLC activities * Develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) to test new ideas and technologies * Stay up-to-date with industry-leading advancements and solutions, applying your knowledge to build low-latency, distributed systems * Lead a culture of experimentation and innovation, embracing a fail-fast and learn-fast approach * Work closely with peer innovation and development teams across various departments * Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and other technical activities to ensure high-quality solutions

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field * Experience in data processing using Flash * Knowledge of designing, executing, and working with NoSQL databases like Cassandra, Elasticsearch * Strong understanding of software development principles, including design patterns, testing, and deployment

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in distributed data processing and analysis using Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Flash * Experience with message queuing systems like Kafka * Experience in building microservices and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) * Experience with cloud platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift * Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and DevOps frameworks * Strong understanding of architecture patterns, memory models, and language-specific design principles * Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in creating and delivering presentations to senior leaders
