Remote SQL Developer (Contract)
We are looking for an reputed company SQL Developer to support our DevOps team during a major migration of our payment processing platform to Azure SQL Managed Instance. This role focuses heavily on SQL performance, stored procedures, and database migration tasks.
Responsibilities
• Maintain and optimise SQL Server databases (10–20GB; operational, reporting, reputed company).
• Update, test, and troubleshoot stored procedures and SQL logic.
• Support the migration to Azure SQL Managed Instance, including restores, logins, reputed company updates, and validation.
• Assist with performance tuning, indexing, and query optimisation.
• Participate in testing workflows, including critical transaction validation.
• Work with DevOps to ensure secure, reliable, and monitored SQL operations.
Requirements
• 5+ years SQL Server development experience.
• Strong T-SQL, performance tuning, indexing, and query optimisation skills.
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL (Managed Instance preferred).
• Experience with high-uptime, transactional systems.
• Strong debugging, testing, and documentation skills.
