What You'll Do

As a Customer Service Agent at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth airport operations and delivering outstanding customer service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Passenger Check-In Assistance: Greet customers with a warm smile, assist with the check-in process, issue boarding passes, and ensure all necessary travel documents are in order.
  • Air Travel Promotion and Sales: Promote and sell air travel options to the traveling public and freight forwarders, providing information about routes, schedules, fares, and special offers.
  • Cargo Acceptance: Process cargo shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations and accurate documentation for domestic and international freight.
  • Government Regulations Interpretation: Interpret and communicate government rules and requirements for domestic and international travel or cargo shipments, ensuring compliance with customs, immigration, and security regulations.
  • Aircraft Dispatch Operations: Meet and dispatch aircraft within established timeframes, coordinating with ground crews and pilots to ensure timely departures and arrivals.
  • Distressed Passenger Assistance: Provide compassionate assistance to distressed passengers and customers, handling issues such as flight delays, cancellations, lost baggage, and rebooking requests.
  • Revenue and Property Protection: Protect company property and revenue by accurately processing payments, managing fare classes, and preventing revenue leakage.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure safe travel by adhering to all safety protocols, responding to security and emergency situations, and maintaining vigilance in identifying potential security threats.
  • Physical Task Performance: Possess the physical ability and dexterity to perform various job-related tasks, including operating motor skills to handle baggage, equipment, and documentation.
  • Multi-Tasking and Time Management: Utilize strong organizational skills to perform multiple tasks within limited time periods, managing competing priorities effectively.
  • Self-Motivation and Independence: Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and accountability in your daily responsibilities.
  • Air Stair Operations: May be required to drive and operate air stairs to various types of aircraft to enplane and deplane passengers safely.
  • Passenger Operations Control: Depending on airport location, may perform Passenger Operation Control functions, including air-to-ground communication and Tower functions.
  • Weather Adaptation: Work in various weather conditions, as Seattle-Tacoma International Airport operates around the clock in all seasons.
  • Shift Work: Adapt to shift work that includes irregular and/or extended hours, weekends, and holidays, as flight operations require 24/7 coverage.

All You'll Need for Success

Minimum Qualifications - Education and Prior Job Experience

  • High school diploma or GED, or international equivalent
  • Bilingual language skills may be required at certain locations
  • Applicable valid driver's license as required by local authorities
  • Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
  • Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable
  • Completion of a pre-employment drug screen, comprehensive background check, and/or fingerprinting to satisfy company and security requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications - Education and Prior Job Experience

  • Working knowledge of Sabre or any other Passenger Service System
  • Previous face-to-face Customer Service experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations professionally
  • Knowledge of international travel regulations and customs procedures
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet
