Position Overview
As a Customer Service & Payments Representative at arenaflex, you will serve as the frontline ambassador for our organization, handling incoming inquiries while managing financial transactions with precision and care. This role combines customer service excellence with basic accounting functions, making it ideal for those who enjoy variety in their workday. You will be responsible for processing payments, reconciling accounts, and providing informative support to customers via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
This position is based onsite in Berea, OH, and offers a competitive hourly rate of $24.00. The role is temporary, with a duration of up to one year, providing valuable experience and potential for future opportunities within our organization.
Work Schedule
- Days: Monday through Thursday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Fridays: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Location: Onsite in Berea, Ohio
Key Responsibilities
As an integral member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties that include but are not limited to:
Customer Support & Communication
- Respond to customer inquiries via telephone, written correspondence, email, and in-person interactions with professionalism and empathy.
- Provide accurate information about accounts, transactions, and services to resolve customer questions and concerns.
- Listen actively to customer needs and offer tailored solutions that exceed expectations.
- Maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude even during challenging situations.
- Document all customer interactions thoroughly in the appropriate systems.
Transaction Processing & Payment Handling
- Process various types of transactions including payments, deposits, and account adjustments.
- Act as a cashier when necessary, accepting and recording customer payments accurately.
- Review and reconcile payments to ensure all transactions are properly applied to customer accounts.
- Post invoices, cash receipts, and deposit receivables in a timely and accurate manner.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in customer accounts promptly.
Data Management & Administrative Support
- Enter, research, and retrieve data related to customer and commercial accounts.
- Prepare invoices for customers with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Maintain organized records and files for easy retrieval when needed.
- Serve as backup support for various accounting and administrative functions as required.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by management.
Quality Assurance & Accuracy
- Perform mathematical computations with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proofread documents, invoices, and correspondence to identify and correct errors.
- Work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Handle frequent interruptions while staying focused on delivering accurate work.
- Recognize discrepancies and implement appropriate corrective measures.
Required Knowledge & Skills

Technical Competencies
- Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of general accounting functions, reporting systems, and financial reconciliation processes.
- Computer Proficiency: Skilled in operating personal computers and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with various accounting software programs used for transaction processing and account management.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations accurately and efficiently.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize errors and make necessary corrections.
- Capability to research and retrieve data quickly and accurately.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of one year of experience directly related to customer service in a call center environment.
- Previous accounting or bookkeeping work is desirable but not required.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining confidentiality.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening as required.
