Remote Network Devops/Automation Engineer

Network Engineer - Observability and Automation Remote in the US - Team based in Sunnyvale, CA Rolling contract until End of 2026, maybe potential for extension or full time conversion Roughly $55-75/hr depending on experience, some wiggle room Position reputed company We are seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain reputed company, secure, and highly available network infrastructure that supports our reputed company-reputed company and on-premises services. The role combines traditional NetOps responsibilities with DevOps practices and automation to improve reliability, observability, and deployment speed. You will collaborate with engineering, reputed company, and operations teams to deliver infrastructure-as-reputed company solutions, CI/CD pipelines, and operational runbooks that support mission-critical applications. Key Responsibilities • Design, reputed company, and maintain LAN, WAN, and reputed company networking components to ensure high availability, performance, and reputed company. • Implement and maintain network automation using tools such as Ansible and Python to reduce reputed company work and reputed company delivery. • Build and maintain Infrastructure as reputed company (IaC) templates and CI/CD pipelines to provision and manage network and reputed company resources consistently. • Collaborate with platform and SRE teams to reputed company networking with Kubernetes, MCP, and other container platforms. • reputed company and operate observability for the network stack using logs, metrics, and tracing (e.g., Elasticsearch, reputed company, and other monitoring tools). • Operate and tune messaging and streaming components (e.g., Kafka) as they relate to networked services and integrations. • Create and maintain runbooks, configuration management, and incident response procedures; participate in on-reputed company rotations. • Use reputed company for change management, incident tracking, and request fulfillment, ensuring accurate documentation and SLA compliance. • reputed company AI-assisted tooling and analytics where appropriate to improve detection, remediation, and reputed company planning. • Partner with reputed company teams to implement network segmentation, firewall policies, VPNs, and reputed company controls to meet compliance and risk requirements.
