**Experienced Crisis Specialist – 988 Chat/Text Crisis Support**

If you're passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, we invite you to join our team as a 988 Chat/Text Crisis Specialist. **Job Summary:** We're seeking an experienced Crisis Specialist to join our 24/7/365 mental health crisis/suicide prevention focused team. As a remote position, you'll handle incoming chat/text messages through the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL), also known as 988. Your primary responsibility will be to provide brief clinical screenings, risk assessments, and appropriate service linkage for individuals experiencing emotional distress. While interactions begin online, you may also support telephonic intervention if an individual prefers or needs continued support to ensure safety. **Key Responsibilities:** * Provides telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments * Answers crisis contacts via the chat/text platform to assess for suicide, safety, and identify appropriate community resources to best meet individual needs * Conducts follow-up calls for individuals deemed moderate to high risk for suicide * Meets the ethical and clinical standards in compliance with all accreditation * Actively participates in ongoing supervision, training, and team meetings * Assists in administrative tasks as needed **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** * Effectively communicates via written, verbal, in-person, and virtual methods * Demonstrates high-level customer service skills and professional etiquette * Demonstrates knowledge and competency in providing service linkage and referrals for programs, services, and other community resources * Knowledge of suicide assessments * Skill in providing crisis intervention **Shifts:** * #1: 4am-12:30pm Sunday - Thursday with Friday/Saturday Off * #2: 4:30am-1:00pm Wednesday-Sunday with Monday/Tuesday off * #3: 6:00am-2:30pm Sunday-Thursday with Friday/Saturday off * #4: 9am-5:30pm Friday-Tuesday with Wednesday/Thursday off * #5: 12pm-8:30pm Sunday-Thursday with Friday/Saturday off * #6: 3:00pm-11:00pm Wednesday-Sunday with Monday/Tuesday off * #7: 6:30pm-3:00am Friday-Tuesday with Wednesday/Thursday Off * #8: 9:00pm-5:30am Sunday-Thursday with Friday/Saturday off * #9: 10:00pm-6:30am Tuesday-Saturday with Sunday/Monday off **Qualifications:** * Education Level: Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Social Work, or related field required; or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist * Years of Experience: Six months to one year of related crisis experience is preferred * Required Certification/Licensure: N/A **Physical Requirements:** * Standing: 10% * Sitting: 90% * Squatting: Occasional * Kneeling: Occasional * Bending: Occasional * Driving: Occasional * Lifting: Occasional **Benefits:** At arenaflex, we're committed to delivering care that changes people's lives, and we start by taking care of our employees.
