**Job Summary:**
As a Pharmacy Technician II, Data Entry Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring accurate prescription processing, supporting team collaboration, and upholding performance excellence. **Responsibilities:**
* Processes new orders promptly and accurately, reviews patient profiles, and updates records using multiple software programs with strong attention to detail.
* Verifies patient and prescription information for accuracy and transfers clarifications to the appropriate team as needed.
* Maintains compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act guidelines to protect patient information and ensure confidentiality.
* Exceeds production standards and Key Performance Indicators for data entry processing while demonstrating reliability through excellent attendance and punctuality.
* Actively engages with team members to foster positive morale, assist in training new employees, and support a collaborative work environment.
**Requirements:**
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Pharmacy Tech Data Entry role or equivalent.
* High school diploma or GED required; college education preferred.
* Texas Board of Pharmacy- Pharmacy Technician license. Must be an active license and not on probation.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently while fostering a positive team environment in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), a thorough understanding of compounded medication orders, and the ability to perform complex mathematical calculations, including rates, ratios, and percentages.
