Digital Coordinator, Email (Temporary)

Salary: $57,000 Location: Washington, D.C. or remote Work dates: March 1 - November 13, 2026 NOTE: This is a temporary, full-time position on our team starting on or after March 1, 2026 and ending on November 13, 2026. Working within a pod, Digital Coordinators provide basic support to client email programs. This job is an opportunity to learn email creative development and copywriting, production, reporting, and client relations. Digital Coordinators typically report to Managing Digital Strategists. This role is not part of the bargaining unit Why Middle Seat • Competitive salaries and great benefits • We only work for progressive organizations, candidates, and causes • We’re a proudly unionized team — part of the Campaign Workers Guild • Get in on the ground floor of a growing operation Job Responsibilities • Writes first drafts of email content (with supervision) • Writes first drafts of content for donation forms and landing pages (with supervision) • Helps podmates to get content reviewed, edited, and ready to ship to clients for final approval • Learns how to use theories of change in email copy • Learns how to produce and launch emails • Learns basic HTML, CSS, and SQL as needed • Learns basic CRM functionalities • Learns the basics of email testing • Learns how to pull, read, and interpret email performance metrics • Learns how to set up donation forms and other landing pages • Learns email reporting; can contribute to email reporting (with supervision) • Keeps email reports up-to-date • Attends brainstorms and other internal team meetings • Attends client meetings • Occasionally contributes ideas to email calendars • Updates email calendars as needed • Proofs peer emails, checking for accuracy and functionality • Other responsibilities as requested Requirements Qualifications: • 0-1 years of relevant experience in email fundraising • Creative writing chops • Writing is generally error-free with minimal typos or grammatical errors • Enthusiasm for data and testing fundraising content • A desire to play a role in fundraising for major political campaigns, nonprofits, and causes • Attention to detail Benefits • 100% premium coverage for health, dental, and vision • Zero deductible health plan • $75 monthly mobile phone & internet subsidy upon presentation of supporting documentation • Mental health expense subsidy of up to $300 per month (an individual appointment can be reimbursed in an amount up to, but not exceeding, $150; and individuals may submit requests for such reimbursement monthly, and will receive reimbursements within 30 days) • $100 monthly student loan reimbursement upon presentation of supporting documentation • 10-15 paid vacation days off, depending on the anticipated length of employment (10 days for 6 month cycle hires, 15 days for 9 month cycle hires) • Unlimited sick leave • Commuter benefits for public transportation for staff in the DC Metro Area upon the same terms offered to regular, full-time employees • Coworking space stipend for cycle hires outside of the DC Metro Area upon the same terms offered to regular, full-time employees • Remote work (or work in our D.C. office) We are committed to building a diverse and passionate team.
