As a Full Stack Software Engineer on our Live Streaming Pipeline team, you'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with a talented group of professionals, and contribute to the development of our live streaming services. **Job Summary** We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Live Streaming Pipeline group, responsible for creating and supporting media encoding pipelines, streaming media work processes, and workflow coordination layers for on-premises and cloud media handling components. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with the Live Transmission Events group to develop and implement services and guidelines that enable live events at scale. You'll also be responsible for designing and implementing tools and applications to monitor and troubleshoot live video streams, as well as building automation and quality control checks to ensure seamless live streaming experiences. **Key Responsibilities** * Create and support media encoding pipelines, streaming media work processes, and workflow coordination layers for on-premises and cloud media handling components. * Collaborate with the Live Transmission Events group to develop and implement services and guidelines that enable live events at scale. * Design and implement tools and applications to monitor and troubleshoot live video streams, including the development of devices for the Live Transmission Events group to oversee and investigate live video transfers. * Build automation and quality control checks to warn administrators of any ongoing issues with existing live streams. * Support live streams and events, ensuring high-quality experiences throughout the transmission chain. * Work with flexible hours based on the live events schedule. **Essential Qualifications** * 4+ years of active professional experience in back-end frameworks development and 3+ years of experience in live streaming work processes. * Strong programming skills and solid experience in Java/Go. * Solid experience in pre-processing languages and automation tools. * Familiarity with analytics, metrics, dashboards, and warning systems. * Strong understanding of digital audio/video fundamentals, compression technologies, delivery protocols, and related technologies like Multicast and Unicast video distribution, MPEG Video (2,4, and HEVC), MPEG-2 TS, AVC/HEVC/DD+, Atmos, HDR, SCTE-35 and ESNI signaling, closed captions, satellite video distribution, and ad grafting. * Experience with video transport protocols, such as RTP, RTMP, SRT, UDP, Zixi, RIST, HLS, MPEG-Run. * Skill with audio/video codecs, HDR (HDR10/Dolby Vision), and DRM technologies (Fairplay, Playready, Widevine). * Familiarity with client-side and server-side dynamic ad insertion, including technical engineering and design suggestions. * Comfort with the software development lifecycle and software-based tools and workflows. * Strong quantitative, analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with encoding profiles, bitrate staircases, and video compression technologies. * Familiarity with AWS, command-line activities (Linux/Windows), and open-source multimedia systems. * Experience with feed submission and molding tools, including encoders, decoders, design converters, and similar in either baseband or ST 2110 spaces. **What We Offer** * Competitive salary and benefits package. * Opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to the development of our live streaming services. * Collaborative and dynamic work environment with a talented team of professionals. * Flexible work hours and remote work options. * Professional development and growth opportunities. * Access to the latest technologies and tools in the industry. **How to Apply** If you're a motivated and experienced Full Stack Software Engineer with a passion for live streaming and video content delivery, we want to hear from you.
