As a key member of our Data Science and Engineering (DSE) team, you'll play a vital role in shaping the future of customer service and analytics at arenaflex. **The Role** In this exciting role, you'll collaborate with data engineers, software engineers, and business leaders to build reliable, scalable data pipelines that transform raw data into actionable business metrics. You'll work with custom visualization tools to surface critical customer service insights, enabling our teams to make data-driven decisions that drive business growth and customer satisfaction. **Key Responsibilities:** * Collaborate with data engineers, software engineers, and business leaders to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Presto, Spark, Flink) on medium to large-scale data sets (10s of millions of records). * Develop strong data modeling skills to design structures that adapt to changes in source data or business processes. * Write clean, supportable code in Python or Scala, with a strong proficiency in both languages. * Apply advanced SQL skills to ensure data quality and advocate for best practices. * Analyze business problems and develop metrics to drive decision-making, prioritizing autonomously. * Communicate effectively with analysts, engineers, and business leaders to drive collaboration and results. **Essential Qualifications:** * At least 4 years of experience engineering data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Presto, Spark, Flink) on medium to large-scale data sets (10s of millions of records). * Strong data modeling skills, with the ability to design adaptable structures. * Proficiency in Python or Scala, with a passion for writing clean, supportable code. * Advanced SQL skills, with a focus on data quality and best practices. * Analytical aptitude, with the ability to think through business problems and prioritize autonomously. * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience working with custom visualization tools to surface critical customer service insights. * Familiarity with arenaflex's technology stack and data architecture. * Strong understanding of data quality and best practices. * Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders. **arenaflex Culture** At arenaflex, we're committed to creating a culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our compensation range for this role is $170,000 - $720,000.
