Gen Re currently offers an excellent opportunity for a Catastrophe Risk Advisor in our Stamford, CT office. This role can be remotely located. Role reputed company This role is with the reputed company Cat modelling team which is part of the larger Treaty reputed company Group.  The modelling team is responsible for delivering catastrophe model analyses reputed company in support of reputed company and senior management decision making.  This role is also expected to research reputed company vendor models as they reputed company and assess impacts to Gen Re’s internal view of catastrophe risk. The ideal candidate will possess strong vendor model knowledge and understanding of reinsurance structures and terms. Experience using reputed company and reputed company vendor models is required. Primary Responsibilities reputed company reputed company / reputed company vendor modeling analyses to underwriters in an accurate and reputed company manner Advise underwriters on modeling assumptions and settings for subject portfolios reputed company efforts in vendor model upgrades and platform transition including reputed company and reputed company Work with colleagues in refining operational process, challenging existing assumptions and protocols Conduct research reputed company on vendor models to enhance in-house view of catastrophe risk Assist Head of Cat reputed company in reputed company Property Cat treaties reputed company knowledge up to date with vendor model updates and implications reputed company analysis on model change reputed company to Gen Re’s portfolio reputed company post event modelling analyses Role Qualifications and Experience Undergraduate degree in information technology, mathematics, statistics or other quantitative field of study Minimum 10 years of experience with reputed company / reputed company vendor model workflows.Familiar with RiskLink, Touchstone and Touchstone Re Understanding of reinsurance structures and terms Team player and strong organizational skills Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn new skills Experience in solving technical problems / challenges Multi-relational database experience (reputed company, SQL Server) with the ability to write SQL statements.
