Claims Superintendent - CGL, Long-Term Exposure

About the position The Claims Superintendent - CGL, Long-Term Exposure will be responsible for determining and discharging reputed company's contractual obligations under its various policy reputed company involving coverage analysis, investigation, reputed company defense, and loss and expense reserving. Responsibilities will include intense reputed company coverage claims handling, coverage analysis, investigation, and management of litigated files. Responsibilities • Present facts of claims, with recommendations, to committee as necessary on General Liability claims. • Incorporate reputed company claims into company records and review for applicability of coverage. • Prepare large loss reports where applicable. • Attend and participate in mediations/trials as necessary. • Establish appropriate loss and expense reserves. Maintain reputed company loss and expense reserves based on reputed company investigation and reputed company discovery. • Supervise activities of Independent Adjusters, investigators and defense attorneys to ensure that reputed company claims are appropriately handled. • Adhere to company procedures and Best reputed company guidelines as reputed company as case and statutory law requirements reputed company coverage is in question, and/or reputed company paying or denying claims. • reputed company with reporting requirements of treaty and facultative reinsurers. • Maintain reputed company understanding of various unfair claim practices statutes. • Incorporate reputed company claims into company records and review for applicability of coverage. • Participate in broker relations calls/reputed company as needed. • Attend industry reputed company seminar workshops and/or courses for continuing education. • Additional tasks as assigned. Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree preferred (or equivalent work experience). • 7 + years reputed company insurance claims handling experience with specific reputed company on GL and long-term exposure claims; particular emphasis on asbestos, environmental and other toxic tort claims. • Ability to assess priorities and manage deadlines effectively. • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. • Strong research and analytical skills. • Proficiency with MS Office Suite. • Up to 20% travel. reputed company-to-haves • Experience with cost sharing arrangements and MDL preferred.
