**About the Role**
We're seeking an Experienced Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team, working on the development and support of cloud-based data pipelines. As a Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines that support our business operations. You'll work closely with our data scientists, analysts, and engineers to ensure that our data pipelines are efficient, scalable, and reliable.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines using cloud-based technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS
* Develop and implement data processing workflows using Python, SQL, and other programming languages
* Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure that data pipelines meet their requirements
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues with data pipelines, working closely with our engineering team
* Develop and maintain automated workflows and scripts to streamline data processing and analysis
* Work with our data governance team to ensure that data pipelines meet our data quality and security standards
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
* 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
* Strong experience with Python and SQL, with a focus on cloud-based technologies such as Snowflake and Databricks
* Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes
* Experience with source control using GitLab or GitHub
* Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
* Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS and Azure
* Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI
* Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
* Strong understanding of data security and compliance principles
