**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Customer Development Manager to join our team at arenaflex. As a key member of our customer development team, you will be responsible for creating and delivering actionable insights and recommendations based on a variety of data sources. Your primary objective will be to drive alignment and simplification across all three tiers of the distribution process, ensuring that our vendor programs are executed effectively in the field. You will analyze and report on category performance metrics, including sales, profits, margins, and market share, to identify trends and drive improvements.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Customer Development Manager at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include:
* **Creating and Delivering Insights and Recommendations**: Develop and deliver actionable insights and recommendations using various data sources, including Point of Sale (POS) data, syndicated data from sources like Nielsen and IRI, and account-specific databases.
* **Monitoring Field Execution of Vendor Programs**: Stay informed of the field execution of vendor programs and ensure that our vendor programs are executed effectively in the field.
* **Staying Informed of Analytic Best Practices**: Stay informed of analytic best practices across the industry and provide valuable information that aligns with our sales, margin, and market development goals.
* **Analyzing and Reporting Data**: Analyze and report data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions, and track category performance including sales, profits, margins, and market share.
* **Developing and Communicating Performance Metrics**: Develop, communicate, execute, and monitor performance metrics and goals, and create and deliver effective reports using POS data and syndicated data.
* **Evaluating Supplier Performance**: Analyze supply chain to evaluate and recommend supplier performance, and ensure superior client satisfaction through deep analytics and team problem-solving.
* **Understanding Customer, Consumer, and Industry Insights**: Understand and apply customer, consumer, and industry insights using market research data to deliver category growth.
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* **Bachelor's Degree and Experience in the CPG Sector**: A Bachelor's Degree and experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector, with a preference for the Adult Beverage industry.
* **Understanding of National Chain Sales, Retail, and Distributor Operations**: A deep understanding of National Chain Sales, Retail, and Distributor operations, including category management principles and shopper/consumer insights.
* **Expertise in Category Management Principles**: Expertise in category management principles and shopper/consumer insights, with a high level understanding of Category Management processes and practices.
* **Assertive Leadership and Decision-Making Skills**: Assertive leadership and decision-making skills with high energy, and the ability to collaborate with external retail customers and key suppliers.
* **Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills**: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and quantitative analysis skills, with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
* **Preferred Experience with Syndicated Data**: Preferred experience with Syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI) and Internal Shipment Data.
**Nice-to-Haves**
While not required, the following skills and experiences are highly desirable:
* **Experience in the Adult Beverage Industry**: Experience in the Adult Beverage industry, with a deep understanding of the market and its trends.
* **Familiarity with Market Research Methodologies**: Familiarity with market research methodologies, including the ability to collect and analyze data from various sources.
* **Ability to Collaborate with External Retail Customers**: The ability to collaborate with external retail customers and key suppliers to drive growth and alignment.
