**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Specialty Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry Transplant to join our team in Smyrna, GA. As a key member of our Specialty Mail Order team, you will be responsible for routing questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion, making outbound calls/faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes. You will work in a high-production environment, where you will need to multitask between patient referrals while maintaining excellent customer service.
**Responsibilities**
* Route questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion
* Make outbound calls/faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes
* Work in a high-production environment, multitasking between patient referrals while maintaining excellent customer service
* Provide exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, and other stakeholders
* Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure accurate and timely processing of prescriptions
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and prescription data
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry developments and best practices
**Requirements**
* 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
* Pharmacy Tech Certified in the state of GA
* High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively
* Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on patient satisfaction and experience
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Specialty pharmacy experience
* Call center experience
* Prescription adjudication experience, with the ability to communicate with prescribers regarding case status and assess prescription claim issues
