Legal Journalist

Staff Legal Journalist CEB's staff legal journalist will be at the center of a dynamic and growing legal newsroom, providing key coverage of the legal issues, court cases, and professional trends that matter most to the California legal community. Successful candidates will be committed to quality journalism for a demanding and sophisticated legal audience, in the form of both short-form news stories and long-form enterprise reporting. We are seeking a writer who loves developing and talking to sources, understands legal materials and the legal profession, and can make legal content and complex analysis readable and engaging. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications • Journalism 2 years Journalism experience (Required) • Superb research and writing skills (Required) • Ability to maintain an ethical, honest, and objective standard in writing and reporting (Required) • Disciplined, with strong time management skills; flexible, creative, adaptable, and self-driven (Required) • Ability to write clearly, engagingly, and authoritatively on a deadline.
