Writing Expert — AI Training (Creative Writers, $75–$150/hr)

Mercor is collaborating with leading AI labs to engage highly accomplished creative writers — playwrights, novelists, journalists, short-story authors, essayists, and social media managers — for advanced AI training projects. Contributors apply their literary expertise to improve AI systems' ability to generate nuanced, high-quality narrative content (emphasizing strong storytelling, stylistic precision, and editorial judgment informed by published and awarded experience). Project-based, flexible participation. Key responsibilities: • Review and refine AI-generated content across plays, novels, short stories, articles, long-form essays, tweets, podcasts, lectures, and late-night formats • Evaluate outputs for literary quality, structure, tone, and thematic depth • Provide detailed editorial feedback to improve coherence and originality Ideal qualifications: • 10+ years experience in creative writing — playwriting, journalism, essays, novel writing, short fiction, and social media • For social media applicants: demonstrable and significant experience running social media campaigns across platforms (particularly X/Twitter) required • Substantial body of published work (novels, staged plays, multiple short stories in recognized outlets) • Work featured in prestigious literary publications, journals, anthologies, or professional productions • Recipient of recognized literary awards, fellowships, or honors • Exceptional command of narrative craft (structure, voice, dialogue, character development) • Strong ability to critique and refine written work Compensation: $75–$150/hour.
