Remote Senior Electrical Engineer, Controls Systems

Our client is looking for an experienced Remote Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in Controls Systems to join their distributed engineering team. This role is 100% remote, offering significant flexibility. You will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and testing of complex electrical control systems for industrial automation, manufacturing, and specialized equipment. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and safety of automated processes. Key responsibilities include creating electrical schematics, selecting appropriate components (PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators), developing control logic and programming, and troubleshooting system issues. You will collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers, through virtual communication channels. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of industrial electrical systems, power distribution, motor control, and instrumentation. Experience with various PLC platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and SCADA systems is essential. Proficiency in electrical design software and simulation tools is required. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is mandatory; a Master's degree is a plus. A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on control systems and automation, is expected.
