Chief Credit Officer

Taekus is a profitable fintech and travel startup building a next-generation premium banking and rewards ecosystem for affluent customers. With $70M+ in annual revenue and $3B+ in annual transaction volume, we’re entering a new stage of growth focused on scaling our core banking systems, rewards infrastructure, and partner integrations. We’re entering the next phase of growth and are looking for a Chief Credit Officer to architect and scale the credit infrastructure behind our products. As Chief Credit Officer, you will own the end-to-end credit strategy at Taekus—from underwriting architecture and risk models to portfolio performance and new credit product design. This is a foundational leadership role responsible for building the credit engine behind a new generation of premium financial products. You’ll work closely with the founders, product, data, and finance teams to design scalable underwriting systems that enable growth while maintaining disciplined portfolio performance. Your Responsibilities Own Taekus’s credit strategy and underwriting framework Design and scale credit decisioning infrastructure and risk models Monitor and optimize portfolio performance across approval rates, delinquencies, and losses Partner with product and data teams to build automated underwriting and risk systems Launch and manage new credit products within the Taekus ecosystem Work closely with sponsor banks and compliance partners to ensure regulatory alignment Build and lead the credit risk and underwriting organization What We're Looking For 10+ years in consumer credit, underwriting, or credit risk leadership Experience building or scaling credit programs at a fintech, card issuer, or modern bank Strong background in credit modeling, underwriting strategy, and portfolio management Experience working with credit bureau data, alternative underwriting signals, and automated decisioning Builder mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-moving fintech environment Strong product and data partnership instincts You’d Love This Job If You want to architect the credit foundation of a new premium banking platform You like to work on products at the intersection of fintech, payments, and global travel You’re looking for a high ownership role with direct impact on company strategy About Taekus Taekus is a luxury financial services company offering premium checking, credit, and debit accounts—paired with an exclusive travel rewards ecosystem.
