About The Role This position involves building and managing scalable, secure, and automated DevOps infrastructure across both cloud and on-premises environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD pipelines, databases, observability tools, and infrastructure-as-code configurations. Collaboration with development, operations, and security teams is essential to ensure resilient deployments and reliable service delivery in distributed systems. The role requires a proactive approach to automating infrastructure provisioning, maintaining high availability, and optimizing performance across diverse environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in cloud-native technologies, infrastructure automation, and database management, with a focus on operational excellence and security best practices. Qualifications • 3+ years of experience managing Kubernetes in production environments • Expertise with container tools such as Docker and Podman • Proficiency with orchestration tools including Kubernetes and Helm • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, Argo CD, and GitOps workflows • Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible • Deep knowledge of managing distributed databases within Kubernetes, including StatefulSets, PVCs, backup, recovery, scaling, and clustering techniques (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB, CockroachDB, etcd) • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or on-premises solutions, with hybrid/multi-cloud experience preferred • Familiarity with Kubernetes networking and service meshes (Istio, Calico, Cilium) • Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working in high-paced, on-call environments • Commitment to operational excellence and thorough documentation practices Preferred qualifications include familiarity with compliance standards (FIPS, FedRAMP, FISMA) and relevant certifications such as CKA/CKAD, AWS/GCP, or Terraform. Responsibilities • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Argo CD • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, and Helm charts • Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters across cloud and on-premises environments (EKS, AKS, GKE, Rancher, RKE2, k3s, OpenShift) • Enforce security best practices within Kubernetes, including RBAC, PodSecurity policies, secrets management, and network policies • Monitor and optimize Kubernetes workloads for performance, reliability, and scalability • Administer distributed database systems, ensuring high availability, data consistency, and efficient backup and recovery strategies • Develop and implement observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Zabbix for infrastructure and application monitoring • Collaborate with development teams to design scalable deployment patterns and troubleshoot pipeline/build/deploy issues • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including environment configurations, architecture decisions, and operational procedures • Mentor team members on DevOps practices, Kubernetes management, and cloud-native technologiesApply tot his job Apply To this Job
