Senior Blockchain Developer (Smart Contracts & DeFi)
Our client, a rapidly growing innovative technology firm, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Blockchain Developer to join their dynamic team in **Los Angeles, California, US**. This is a critical role responsible for the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge blockchain solutions, with a strong focus on smart contracts and decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of blockchain architecture, consensus mechanisms, and the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts on various blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Polygon, Binance Smart Chain). Develop and maintain decentralized applications (dApps) and blockchain-based solutions. Collaborate with product managers and other engineers to define and implement new blockchain features and protocols. Optimize blockchain applications for performance, scalability, and security. Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers. Stay abreast of the latest developments in blockchain technology, cryptography, and DeFi. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to blockchain networks and smart contracts. Contribute to the architectural decisions and technical roadmap of our blockchain initiatives. Ensure compliance with security best practices and industry standards in all development efforts. Engage in research and development of new blockchain use cases and applications. Document technical designs, specifications, and code. Participate in cross-functional team meetings and contribute to project planning. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years focused on blockchain technology. Proficiency in smart contract development languages such as Solidity, Vyper, or Rust. Experience with blockchain development frameworks like Truffle, Hardhat, or Foundry. Strong understanding of cryptographic principles and blockchain security. Familiarity with DeFi protocols, token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721), and associated technologies. Experience with Web3 libraries and tools (e.g., Ethers.js, Web3.js). Knowledge of different blockchain architectures and consensus algorithms. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. Contribution to open-source blockchain projects is highly valued.
