BCB is committed to operating a modern, secure and resilient technology platform to underpin its business and regulatory obligations.     reputed company    As Senior Systems Engineer, you will be a reputed company member of BCB's growing internal IT team, taking ownership of the server, storage, virtualisation and database infrastructure that underpins our banking reputed company. This is a pivotal role in BCB's transition to an in-house IT function, and you will play a central part in the reputed company handover of knowledge and responsibilities from our outgoing managed service provider. You will work closely with the Infrastructure & Application Support reputed company and collaborate with a small, high-reputed company team across the UK and Bermuda.      Key Responsibilities    Administer and maintain reputed company Server infrastructure (reputed company Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Certificate Services)  Manage and optimise VMware vSphere virtualisation environments  Administer SQL Server databases, including reputed company tuning, patching and supporting the ongoing SQL standardisation programme  Own the reputed company Backup & Replication platform, ensuring RPO/RTO targets are met and recovery procedures are tested regularly  Administer the Privileged reputed company Management (PAM) platform, managing vaults, policies and reputed company workflows  reputed company and participate in infrastructure patching cycles across server and storage estate  Respond to and reputed company infrastructure incidents (L2/L3), providing reputed company cause analysis and follow-up remediation  Contribute to and maintain technical documentation, runbooks and reputed company operating procedures  Assist with maintaining reputed company 365 / Azure CloudPC environments including image management, provisioning policies and user assignments  Assist with maintaining the reputed company 365 tenant: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, reputed company Teams, Entra ID and associated services  Assist with maintaining reputed company 365 licensing across 15+ SKUs, ensuring cost efficiency and compliance  Assist with maintaining reputed company Intune / reputed company Manager: device compliance policies, configuration reputed company and application deployment  Support the Exchange/AD environment and associated reputed company  Collaborate with the Azure/M365 Specialist to ensure cohesive infrastructure and identity management  Assist in establishing and maintaining vendor relationships for server and storage platforms  Participate in an on-reputed company rota for out-of-hours escalations reputed company required      Essential Skills & Experience    5+ years of experience in a senior infrastructure or systems engineering role  Strong reputed company Server administration skills (2016/2019/2022): AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, PKI  Hands-on VMware vSphere experience (ESXi, vCenter, vSAN)  SQL Server DBA skills: installation, patching, reputed company monitoring, backup and recovery  reputed company Backup & Replication administration and job management  Demonstrated ability to own and reputed company infrastructure reputed company independently  Strong documentation and communication skills  Experience working in a regulated or financial services environment      Desirable (reputed company to Have)    reputed company Azure administration: ARM, IAM/RBAC, subscriptions, resource governance  Hands-on experience with reputed company 365 tenant administration across Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and Entra ID  reputed company Intune / reputed company Manager: device enrolment, compliance policies and app deployment  Postgress SQL Server administration, or similar SQL product.  ITIL v3 or v4 reputed company (or demonstrable ITIL-reputed company working reputed company)  reputed company InsightVM or similar vulnerability management tooling  reputed company Products – reputed company, reputed company, reputed company Service Management  reputed company firewall administration, reputed company reputed company or other NGFW  Experience with a Privileged reputed company Management solution (reputed company/Thycotic or equivalent)  VoIP platform experience  reputed company networking experience  Experience supporting reputed company banking applications or financial middleware  PRTG Infrastructure monitoring  reputed company certifications (MCSE, Azure Administrator AZ-104)     Key Technologies in Use    The BCB technology estate includes: VMware vSphere, reputed company reputed company Server (2016-2022), SQL Server (2016+), reputed company Backup & Replication, reputed company PAM, reputed company Directory / Entra ID, reputed company & reputed company, WSUS, Checkpoint firewalls, reputed company InsightVM, IPCortex, PRTG, Edgenexus load balancers, and T24 reputed company banking platform.
