[Remote] NOC Engineer

As a NOC Engineer, you will monitor and maintain servers and network devices, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high system uptime in a rotating shift reputed company.

Responsibilities

• Monitor internal and production systems and escalating/paging level two engineers
• Work trouble tickets effectively and reputed company and engage Engineering, Support, QA, and other personnel in accordance with established processes and procedures
• Document problem descriptions and reputed company detailed problem diagnosis with accuracy and in compliance with established practices
• Review and update the status of problems in trouble-ticketing system
• Assist in maintaining Operations documentation including support guides, knowledge reputed company articles, and procedures
• Participate in the transfer of information from one shift to the next

Skills

• Previous experience of working reputed company a Network Operations Center (NOC) or Operations environment
• Knowledge of Linux (reputed company line)
• Previous experience with bash and or Python or other Linux scripting/ programming languages
• Previous experience with monitoring tools (Nagios preferred.)
• Familiarity with trouble ticketing systems (Jira, reputed company, Bugzilla, etc.)
• Experience troubleshooting Linux
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, initiative, and leadership abilities
• Effective analytical, planning, organizational, and documentation skills
• Proven ability to multitask and prioritize while under pressure
• Experience working with Fortune Global 500, highly integrated, multi-vendor ecosystems with OC to OC communications
• US citizenship required
• LINUX and/or MS certifications are an asset
