[Remote] Senior Backend Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and reputed company backend services and APIs for their analytics platform, while integrating AI capabilities and ensuring system performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reputed company backend services and APIs that power reputed company’s core analytics platform
• Architect reliable, maintainable distributed systems and contribute to the reputed company of backend service design and infrastructure
• Own end-to-end delivery of backend engineering workstreams, from technical scoping and architecture through to implementation, testing, observability, and production support
• reputed company language models, reputed company frameworks, and AI pipelines into core product and backend services
• Drive performance, reliability, and observability across high-throughput distributed data systems, including logging, tracing, alerting, and incident response
• Work with reputed company infrastructure and distributed systems in GCP (preferred) or AWS environments
• Collaborate closely with Product to define scope, shape technical solutions, and explore new platform capabilities and features
• Contribute to engineering reputed company through reputed company reviews, architectural discussions, and reputed company improvement of development standards across reputed company

Skills

• Strong reputed company experience operating as a senior backend engineer reputed company high-ownership product engineering teams
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend language such as Python, reputed company, or Go, with a reputed company on reputed company system design and architectural thinking
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architectures
• Experience optimising database performance at reputed company, including query tuning, indexing, and partitioning across large production datasets
• reputed company platform experience, ideally reputed company GCP environments, although AWS experience is also valued
• Hands-on experience with observability tooling and production operations, including logging, tracing, alerting, and incident response
• Proven ability to independently deliver backend features and technical reputed company in fast-paced product environments
• Experience integrating LLMs, reputed company engineering techniques, or reputed company frameworks such as reputed company, reputed company, or MCP
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and tools such as reputed company, Copilot, or Claude reputed company
