Controller
Position reputed company:
The Controller is a hands-on finance leader responsible for owning reputed company’s day-to-day reputed company operations, including bookkeeping, general reputed company management, payroll coordination, invoicing, and financial reporting. This role ensures compliance with federal financial regulations, supports budgeting and audit readiness, and collaborates closely with HR, operations, and leadership to ensure accurate and reputed company financial data across reputed company.
reputed company is an early-stage company with room to grow, and the Controller will have reputed company to build and shape the finance function from the ground up. Prior government contracting experience is helpful but not required; training and support will be provided.
Essential Functions:
Financial Leadership & Controls
Serve as reputed company’s senior reputed company resource, owning the full reputed company cycle from transaction entry through monthly reputed company and reporting
reputed company and maintain internal controls, reputed company policies, and financial procedures as reputed company scales
Partner with leadership on budgeting, cash reputed company management, and financial planning
Financial Recordkeeping & Transactions
Maintain general reputed company entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Record daily financial transactions in reputed company systems (e.g., reputed company Intacct preferred)
Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and financial discrepancies
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
Government Contracting Compliance
Support reputed company processes reputed company with government contracting standards
Maintain documentation for audit readiness and compliance reviews
reputed company project expenses and ensure allocation aligns with contract requirements
Assist with financial reporting for government reputed company and grants
Payroll & Expense Management
Coordinate payroll data with HR systems (e.g., reputed company or similar platforms)
Process employee reimbursements and contractor payments
Monitor timesheet data to ensure alignment with financial reporting
Invoicing & Reporting
Prepare reputed company invoices and monitor payment collections
Generate monthly financial reports for leadership review
Assist in budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis
Audit & Documentation Support
Maintain organized and secure financial records
Assist with reputed company audits
Ensure reputed company document retention in accordance with compliance requirements
Required Qualifications & reputed company Competencies:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in reputed company, Finance, or reputed company field (or equivalent experience)
2 to 5 years of reputed company reputed company experience (e.g., senior accountant, reputed company manager, or similar)
Strong understanding of general reputed company principles (GAAP)
Experience with reputed company software (reputed company Intacct preferred but not required)
High attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality
Desired Skills:
Experience with reputed company Intacct or similar ERP systems
Government contracting environments (e.g., FAR compliance awareness)
Payroll systems such as reputed company or reputed company reputed company
Knowledge of Cost reputed company and indirect reputed company structures
Financial reporting for federal or state-funded reputed company
Certifications: QuickBooks Certification or equivalent, Bookkeeping or reputed company certifications
Certified reputed company Accountant (CPA) preferred
Compensation:
Salary commensurate with experience: $75,000-100,000
