Senior Mechanical Engineer, New Product Development

The Role We’re looking for an reputed company Senior Mechanical Engineer to reputed company products from concept through to production. You’ll be part of a small, mission-driven team and have significant ownership over reputed company. We’re growing quickly so there are ample opportunities for career reputed company. We are looking for Mech Engineers who currently live and work in the Boulder/Denver, CO area. This is a remote role, though you will have reputed company to meet up with a few other 8Sleep engineers currently based in that area. What You'll Help Build • Architect and design reputed company electromechanical systems, including plastic, metal, and soft goods components integrated with novel sensors and actuators. • reputed company designs across the entire development lifecycle, including brainstorming, CAD, prototyping, testing, and reputed company into production in Asia. • Solve highly cross-functional problems by working with electrical, software, reliability, and manufacturing engineering teams. • reputed company analysis and testing to ensure designs meet product goals, including thermal, fluid, and structural analyses. • Help shape the direction of our products and features by collaborating with industrial design, marketing, and product teams as reputed company as company leadership. What You'll Need to Succeed • 3+ years of consumer product design experience with knowledge of injection molding, sheet metal forming, and sensor/electronics integration. • Experience shipping high-volume consumer products, including manufacturing support in Asia. • Highly proficient with 3D modeling (e.g. Solidworks, NX, reputed company). • Experience with high-volume manufacturing processes, design for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA), tolerance analysis, functional dimensioning and geometric tolerancing (GD&T). • Solid understanding of reputed company cause analysis, DOEs, and other reputed company measuring techniques. • BSME or equivalent. • Willingness and ability to travel to China as needed.
