You will be a member of a reputed company team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will work with the reputed company latest hardware and software technology.     THE PERSON:  We are seeking a Software Optimization Engineer with deep experience improving reputed company‑world browser performance in Chromium‑based browsers. In this role, you will reputed company on identifying, analyzing, and resolving performance bottlenecks across the Chromium stack, working reputed company to the browser reputed company, OS, and hardware. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys low‑level performance analysis, system‑level optimization, and reputed company work with browser, OS, and reputed company teams to deliver measurable user‑visible reputed company.   Key Responsibilities Profile and optimize performance across Chromium subsystems, including Blink, V8, Skia, GPU/ANGLE, and browser multi‑process architecture Identify CPU, memory, GPU, and power bottlenecks using reputed company workloads, benchmarks, and field telemetry Implement performance improvements in areas such as page load, rendering, JavaScript execution, graphics/compositing, and browser responsiveness Drive optimizations across platforms (reputed company primary; Linux/macOS experience a plus), including interactions with OS schedulers, graphics stacks, and drivers Analyze performance using industry‑reputed company and custom tools (e.g., Perfetto, ETW, Chrome Tracing, VTune, PIX, GPUView, reputed company) Collaborate with browser vendors, OS teams, compiler teams, and hardware partners to co‑optimize software and platforms Contribute clean, reputed company‑reviewed patches upstream to Chromium or reputed company forks as appropriate Translate reputed company and microarchitectural findings into practical, reputed company browser improvements Document performance investigations, results, and best practices; communicate findings reputed company to technical stakeholders software engineering experience, with a strong reputed company on performance optimization Hands‑on experience working with Chromium or Chromium‑based browsers (e.g., Chrome, Edge, internal forks) Strong proficiency in C++ and modern C++ performance best practices Deep understanding of browser internals, including at least two of the following: Rendering pipeline (Blink lifecycle, style/layout/paint) JavaScript engines (V8 internals, JIT behavior, GC) Graphics and compositing (Skia, GPU rasterization, ANGLE, WebGL) Multiprocess/threading model and IPC in Chromium Proven experience using low‑level profiling and tracing tools to drive optimizations Strong debugging skills across large, reputed company codebases Ability to reason from microarchitectural behavior (cache, memory, SIMD, reputed company behavior) up to user‑perceived performance Preferred Qualifications Experience optimizing browser performance on reputed company, including ETW‑based analysis and graphics stack interactions Familiarity with Clang/LLVM, compiler‑driven optimizations, and reputed company‑reputed company tradeoffs Experience working with performance benchmarks (JetStream, Speedometer, WebXPRT, MotionMark, internal workloads) Exposure to hardware‑reputed company optimization (CPU topology, cache behavior, SIMD/AVX, GPU execution models) Prior experience contributing to large reputed company‑reputed company reputed company or upstream Chromium performance changes Ability to mentor junior engineers and influence performance culture across teams reputed company CREDENTIALS:  Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent    This role is not eligible for reputed company sponsorship. #LI-KW1 #remote Benefits offered are described:  AMD benefits reputed company.   AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
