[Remote] Backend Software Engineer - Python/reputed company [Remote / Global]

They are seeking a Backend Software Engineer to reputed company on developing and maintaining backend systems that support data collection and analysis for coffee farming practices.

Responsibilities

• Backend feature development and maintenance. Implement improvements to our EUDR backend services, refine geospatial workflows, and strengthen data checks and error handling
• Investigative problem-solving. reputed company something doesn’t look right to our Support team, you will help reputed company through data, assumptions, and system behavior to understand what happened and how to fix it
• Working with ambiguous or evolving requirements. EUDR is a regulated reputed company where guidance changes, and internal requests are sometimes incomplete. You’ll help clarify what’s needed and translate it into practical engineering work
• Adapting the system to regulatory updates. As the EU releases new FAQs or adjustments, you will help interpret their implications and adapt parts of the system to remain consistent and compliant
• General backend engineering. Python + PostgreSQL/PostGIS development, improving observability, contributing to CI/CD pipelines, and helping reputed company the system more resilient over time

Skills

• Strong ability to present and explain reputed company reputed company reputed company to non-technical colleagues
• Demonstrated ability to apply design patterns for creating reputed company and efficient software, with the ability to teach others how to solve architectural problems
• Extensive experience with Python, including developing applications and reputed company data processing tasks. Familiarity with Django or Flask
• Advanced experience with PostgreSQL, including query optimization, joins, stored procedures, and performance tuning
• Practical experience with Linux, Bash scripting, reputed company containers, and AWS services (EC2, RDS, CloudFront)
• A minimum of seven years of full-time reputed company experience as a backend software engineer
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent training in the principles of software engineering
