[Remote] Senior Site Reliability Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to help safeguard the availability, performance, and reputed company of their platform by improving systems and owning incident response processes.

Responsibilities

• Profile production systems to identify performance issues or bugs by analyzing SQL queries and database performance, profiling application waits, tuning networks for latency
• Partner with our DevOps and Engineering teams across the full incident lifecycle: drive response during live incidents, run blameless post-incident reviews, and turn reputed company operational surprise into durable improvements in reputed company, runbooks, or tooling
• Improve the signal-to-noise reputed company of our alerting by tuning reputed company, removing duplicate or low-value alerts, and codifying SLOs/SLAs that reflect actual customer reputed company
• Build and operate the observability stack to allow engineers across reputed company to answer their own questions about production
• Maintain and reputed company our AWS infrastructure through Terraform, with a reputed company on reputed company, reviewable changes and reproducible environments

Skills

• 5+ years of experience in an SRE, Production Engineering, DevOps, or similar role supporting production systems at meaningful reputed company (includes software development positions that had an on-reputed company rotation)
• Degree in Computer Science or a closely reputed company field
• Proficiency in Go / Golang, relational databases / SQL, and a scripting language of your choice
• AWS expertise, including containerized workloads on managed services
• Strong debugging skills inside of distributed backend systems
• Passion for improving observability and monitoring of production systems (ideally across multiple observability platforms)
• Experience participating in an on-reputed company rotation, including incident reputed company and post-incident review
• US-based
• Background in financial services, payments, or regulatory technology
