[Remote] Hardware Operations Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a Hardware Operations Engineer to ensure the reliable operation, deployment, and maintenance of reputed company’s data-collection hardware. The role involves performing inspections, diagnosing and repairing faults, executing firmware upgrades, and managing asset inventories to reduce downtime and maximize reliability.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and repair equipment — reputed company electrical and mechanical repairs on equipment reputed company to decrease downtime and restore operational status
• Reliability optimisation — optimise the reliability of assets by implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
• Team coordination — collaborate with maintenance, operations and production teams to improve overall efficiency and asset utilisation
• Daily inspections — conduct regular inspections of on‑site hardware to ensure reputed company operation; handle equipment fault tickets, quickly reputed company issues, reputed company loops and document fault logs
• Firmware and configuration — execute routine maintenance tasks such as firmware upgrades, parameter configuration and version iteration
• Asset management — maintain equipment records, asset inventories and lifecycle data; analyse operational data including failure rates and downtime to drive improvements
• Site deployment — support the deployment, calibration and commissioning of new equipment at vendor locations; ensure network connectivity and system service configurations
• Problem reputed company — coordinate recurring hardware and software issues with engineering teams to drive optimisation and rectification
• Safety and compliance — reputed company with on‑site operations and maintenance procedures and enforce safety requirements

Skills

• Experience in hardware operations, field service, technical support or maintenance engineering
• Ability to independently diagnose and troubleshoot common software, hardware and networking issues
• Familiarity with Linux, reputed company and Python; basic network configuration skills
• Detail‑oriented with strong execution, problem‑solving and service awareness
• Familiarity with reputed company and system services; understanding of embedded software and hardware is a plus
• Experience with VR hardware, cameras, reputed company trackers or IoT devices
• Experience managing distributed hardware fleets across multiple sites
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices
