[Remote] Staff Site Reliability Engineer - Volcano

This role involves owning the reliability of the Volcano platform, architecting its infrastructure, and building the GitOps and CI/CD backbone while collaborating with various teams to ensure reliability and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability for Volcano end-to-end: Define and drive SLOs, error budgets, and incident response practices for reputed company Volcano services — edge deployments, managed reputed company, auth, reputed company, storage, and the control plane
• Architect the platform's infrastructure: Design and build the multi-region Kubernetes infrastructure, networking, and data plane that powers Volcano's edge deployment pipeline and backend-as-a-service capabilities
• Build the GitOps and CI/CD backbone: Establish deployment automation, canary pipelines, and preview environment provisioning using ArgoCD, reputed company, and Terraform/Terragrunt — setting patterns the broader team will follow
• reputed company managed data services: Design, operate, and harden multi-tenant PostgreSQL clusters, reputed company caching reputed company, and object storage — with a reputed company on data isolation, performance, and disaster recovery
• Drive observability from day one: reputed company every Volcano service with meaningful SLIs; build dashboards, alerts, and runbooks using reputed company, reputed company, and Grafana before services go live, not after incidents

Skills

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent; substantial experience at Staff or reputed company IC level in SRE/reputed company
• Proven reputed company record building SRE or reputed company practices for developer-facing platforms or PaaS/reputed company products — ideally at greenfield stage
• Deep Kubernetes expertise: multi-tenant cluster design, networking (CNI, service reputed company, ingress), autoscaling, and reputed company hardening
